Nobody likes that piercing, industrial glare when they step into a bathroom. You just want to feel warm, not feel like you’re under a surgical spotlight. We’ve spent a lot of time figuring out how to give you that instant heat without the blinding light—especially since these are often used around babies or older folks who have more sensitive eyes. It’s all about the light. Most standard infrared lamps throw out a ton of visible light and UV rays. That’s where that harsh “glare” comes from, and it can really strain your eyes. We do things differently. We shift the energy away from those sharp blue-light peaks and push it into the long-wave and mid-wave bands. The result? You get all the warmth, but instead of a blinding white light, you get a soft, gentle glow. Keeping things safe We also use a specific kind of quartz glass with a special coating. It stops the heat from bunching up into one dangerous “hot spot.” Instead, the warmth spreads out evenly across the surface, so you don’t have to worry about someone getting a burn if they get too close. But here’s a tip: watch your mounting height. Even though the light is safe for your eyes, the heat is still powerful. If you tuck these too low in a tiny bathroom, the room will turn into a sauna pretty quickly. We suggest leaving at least 2.2 meters of clearance so the heat has room to breathe. Setting them up Since these live in bathrooms, we’ve sealed the connections tight. Steam and moisture won’t get in to cause rust or short circuits. Installation is pretty easy, too. They’re designed to drop right into most standard fixtures. Just a heads-up—double-check that your circuit breaker can handle the total wattage. You don’t want your power tripping right in the middle of a freezing January morning.
